The house offers four very well equipped and attractively furnished double or twin bedrooms, three with ensuite facilities, and the other with sole use of its own private bathroom a few steps from the room. Guests have their own comfortable sitting room, with a log burning stove for cold weather.
As the house can accommodate eight guests it is an eminently suitable venue for a gathering of family or friends. There is plenty of space and lots of things to see and do. As it has been known for it to rain from time to time in Northumberland, the house has a good drying area for wet clothes.
Importantly in today’s world, the house benefits from fast fibre broadband to the doorstep with rapid WiFi available throughout.
We strongly recommend to guests walking the Wall that they arrange with us to pick them up at the end of a day’s hike either at Chollerford or at the Errington Coffee House, to which we will return them on the following morning. This saves the otherwise less than optimal experience of walking along “A” roads with no footpath.
Similarly, Wall walkers might like to use Errington House as their base for two or even three nights in which case we can provide pickups and drop-offs further afield.
Guests’ well behaved dogs are welcome at Errington, but not permitted in the bedrooms. Our own dogs will no doubt be pleased to make their acquaintance. They can sleep in the entrance hall or in the utility room, or might be more comfortable in their own car. Be aware, however, that there are several times more sheep in Northumberland than there are people, that farmers have very firm views on dogs, and do not hold back in expressing them. Further, there are some places where dogs simply are not allowed at all, even on a lead, for example on grouse moors.
